On the BY Battle Droids (from my description on Relic - part 5 ):
The Aleena was commisioned by the Separatists to build a new kind of Battle Droid, one that could rival the clone trooper in battle prowess and individual thinking. Essentially they're made up from the best parts of the other Battle Droids: the utilities of normal Battle Droids, the firepower of a Super Battle Droid, they're as nimble as the Commando Droid, processors on par with Tactical Droids. Their left arm is equipped with limited Astromech-like tools, and can generate a small force field (though not as powerful as those of Droideka's). Only disadvantage: they would've been super expensive.Since BY-00 is supposed to be cobbled together from different existing doids (but done well enough so that you can't see where one ends and the other begins), there's a lot of influences from those in this drawing. The most prominent one is the regular Battle Droid head (I really like the design on those), but the left lower arm is from a Super Battle Droid, the upper arms and legs (and the complete right arm) are from Commando Droids, etc...
