after looking at the photo and then reading the description, the scene became more somber, a bit depressing. But it is a very dramatic photo, and the black and white look helps the dramatic look.

Incredible piece. I'm big into square format, so this is a nice crop. Wonderful work with the channels here, I like how the sand below the cross is kind of leading to it.
