I know. I liked when when I stored something, it was as if it never existed. Occasionally I upload a piece that is personal so I later decide to store it, or I feel like it's getting too much unwarranted attention (as like with a horrible sketch of a damn flower I uploaded) so I'd like to remove it for a while to let other stuff in my gallery be seen (it was showing as my most popular deviation in the stats panel, I did not like this). Now when I do this, it shows that ugly thumbnail. I liked when it basically was like deleting it, ugh.

If they are working for their database, they can just check it in their system instead of letting everyone SEE the size...probably it's a small technical mistake, or not...=_=

On the left side, click on "Deviations" then click "Sort by Sender"

Exactly, as some people were saying posting it here and then just having the stupid taunting symbol makes NO sense.. they should offer that the image is completely hidden and only visible to the artist itself.

I don't like them either. But I wonder if it's sometimes a way to store the image on HERE in case their PC crashes or they lose their image. If so I can see their "angle" on it. But you can't even UNFAVE the damn thing. (that's what angers me.) Also if they don't want the art to be seen, why even put it up on DA? And if something is good and it strikes my interest/stirs my soul, I fave it. Now it's gone?

dA is more like a photobucket with a strong theme for art, so basically people can do whatever they like in their gallery. I don't actually recommend people "store" their art here when they don't want it to be displayed, or else things like this "storage" will happen, thus annoys people a lot.
I mean come on, why must you tell people that you are storing something? It's actually quite irritating consider such act is a mere tease than private. I've seen people's display the stamps they like and guess what? These things come out!

True. It's also a good way to "store" someone's "stolen" art. (art theft). I suppose it can be abused that way. Either way, I'd never store anything on here. If I don't like something, I delete it. If it had a few faves, oh well. Too bad, so sad. (I've never had anyone ask me to resubmit something I deleted anyway. Hmmm, that's not a good sign...

I don't know if storing stolen artwork would have any logical purpose except narcissism. Since nobody can look at it except the user, it's like he can do the same thing in his own computer too...
Well, I might just hide it (remove from feature) and if they find it through "browse", then they are lucky. People usually don't check the things they faved, it's just to show that "your artwork is good" and then, it just piles up, which is not a good thing too.
Some artists does use PB to store the works they don't wish people to know it yet. But I don't know if it's true, but rumors said that whatever you upload to photobucket, it actually belongs to them and they have the rights to distributes them to anyone else.
