In his initial concept, he had a scowling face, and hair that spiked up more. But I figured I had too many characters who looked like they hate their life. And with that hair, he just ended up looking too similar to Frank.His new hair was inspired by Gabe from Penny Arcade: [link] With his new default expression of raised eyebrows, his personality instantly changed from sullen to laid-back. Also, he now has epic sideburns.
This is how significant a character's default expression is. It can say a lot of things about them.
