Was going to do a pinup calendar as a self-promotional item, but I think I’m running out of time, and have too many other things to do. This is the only one I managed to totally finish, besides my ‘Morning Time’ illustration, which was going to be used for July.Related content

I think the best resource on color theory is the book "Color and Light" by James Gurney, it's an essential book for anyone who wants to paint!

the light and coloration is awesome, also the pose is nice, but the facial expression somehow seems to be too stiff and unnatural

I see what you mean. I was trying to achieve a balance of something more natural and less rehearsed, but conversely still akin to Elvgren-esque cheesecake pinup art. I can definitely see how I took it a slight bit too far in that direction though.
I'll definitely try out some more natural expressions, thanks a lot for the crit!
