Caution:Large image. Had to full view it's size, since little details would be too hard to see.

Been meaning to draw a Shadowrun pic like this for a while now, I even had a couple of failed attempts. But I finally complete one that I'm happy with.

So here's Jake Armitage walking through the streets of Seattle. I tried to fit as many references to the game as possible, including:

1.The poster in the entrance to Daley Station is a poster you'll see throughout the game.

2. The electronic sign is Daley Station, one of the monorail stations in the game.

3. The poster above Daley Station is a poster I made up to promote of the products in the game called "Slap-Patches" which give you instant health, and more strength(like steroids). I even based the poster off of an old Jesse Ventura anti-steroid poster.

4. The pink sign with the asian characters is one seen in the game above a Shaman/Magic shop.

5. The building next to the magic shop is labeled "Ed's Patch & Fix". When you arrive at Ed's in the game, the doctor(who I'm assuming is named Ed) attempts to upgrade your abilities, but instead accidently triggers a cortes bomb embedded into Jake's head. You only have a short amount of time to disarm it after that.

6. Big tv screen on building in background is an anime video promoting Maria Mercurial, a diva/superstar that is mentioned in the game quite a bit.

7. The other pink sign and the green sign are other signs found in the game(one of the signs is, but I can't remember which). Whichever one it is, it's the sign to a weapons shop.

8. Lastly, we have the machine at the very front, which says "Thank you for using Eco-Tel", which is a videophone service that is used in the game.

All other signs are based off other pictures(pics of Blade Runner, Akira, or other Shadowrun games). And, as you can tell, the image is heavily Blade Runner inspired. Even the layout of the city was based off of a Blade Runner screen capture.

It's strange I've been playing the RPG since it came out and of the two platforms (SNES v. Genesis) the Genesis one was far better in story, based on the Harlequin adventure series of published adventures, and actual feel of the RPG. For those who enjoyed the SNES one, try the Genesis version. You'll like it TONS better.

I've tried the genesis one a little, I like the SNES version better. I've never been much into RPG's, so I like that the SNES version had a more unique system.

The cool thing about that pink sign is that the artwork used is from Bubblegum Crisis. The asian rocker is Priss, one of the Knight Sabers in the anime. It's when she's singing "Hurricane".

This picture is great! If only for the nostalgia factor, but that's pretty high right now so I'm stoked. I wish they had made a sequel. Or would go ahead and make a new one, not some fps horse crap. Oh, what they could do with today's tech in a Shadowrun game... I can only wish.

Yeah, a reboot would be pretty awesome. I'm not really into Shadowrun as a whole, but I loved the SNES game. I think I'd love to see it as an animated movie the most, in the style of Ghost in the Shell would be amazing!

Nice. My only gripe is similar to Redwing's. I'm not sure what you want me to focus on. Personally, my eye is drawn immediately to the poster and it doesn't want to leave. The guy at the bottom seems like he should be the focus, but the blurry nature of his presentation makes it seem like he isn't- instead the posters and lights command attention with their clarity.

I don't know, maybe that was your goal. I've never played the game before, is it any good??

Yeah, I was going to edit that. I need to somehow put more focus on the character. Thanks, it mean alot!

Yeah, the game is great! It's a very different take on the RPG genre.

Hey, every band has the bad song that noone likes.

Hell, Alice Cooper even makes fun of this in "The Song That Didn't Rhyme".

Reminds me of Weird Al parody of Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit", called "Smells like Nirvana", he was making fun of how you couldn't understand a word of the original song.
