Tintin is quite possibly one of the most, if not the most, well known European comic characters. He was created by Georges Remi more popularly known under his penname, Herge, and debuted in 1929. It tells the story of a courageous young adventurer named Tintin and follow his many journeys with his friends. The drawings popularized the style that has become known as “Ligne Claire", or clear line, which basically summarizes a very clean and clear line style, without much variation in thickness.
