Joffrey makes Palpatine and Frieza like look Mr. Rogers and both Damien and Eric Cartman look like well-behaved children. And I know Palpatine has killed more people than Joffrey by commiting genocide and destroying planets, but I don't think Palpatine would make two prostitutes beat each other to death

It's a way better closure in my opinion. Reading through his work for the first time? I thought he was going to live well to middle-age and burn out like some of the real-life tyrannical trainwrecks had in history. Hell, I was surprised, but it was a relief, you gotta admit.
