Boy, I think you were born in the wrong era.

Not sure, but an artist you might appreciate is Jack Vettriano ([link] ). He paints within the 1950/60s era, with a lot of sultry, male-dominated content. A lot like Fitzgerald's Great Gatsby.

He's an artist I enjoy a lot, so I thought I'd pass that name on c:

(include the full storyboards of the Hellfire sequence, which is my favorite scene in the whole film... *___* )

Toulouse-Lautrec for the world :3 He is one of my favorite artists ever since I had to make a self portrait in his style. He was such an awesome person though :3 his full name alone is epic.

Sweet! Didn't expect to see Carl Larsson there! Awesome!
I used to collect prints, stickers and post cards by him. Wonderful environment/nature, festive (as well as peacefulness) and colors in his work.

Clopin and Gypsies:
Maybe you've heard of a terrible place
Where the soundrels of Paris
Collect in a lair

Maybe you've heard of that mythical place
Called the Court of Miracles
Hello, you're there!
Where the lame can walk
And the blind can see
But the dead don't talk
So you won't be around
To reveal what you've found
We have a method for spies and intruders
Rather like hornets protecting their hive
Here in the Court of Miracles
Where it's a miracle if you get out alive!

Clopin:
Justice is swift in the Court of Miracles
I am the lawyers and judge all in one
We like to get the trial over with quickly
Because it's the sentence that's really the fun!

Now that we've seen all the evicence

Puppet:
Wait! I object!

Clopin:
Overruled!

Puppet:
I object!

Clopin:
Quiet!

Puppet:
Dang!

Clopin:
We find you totally innocent
Which is the worst crime of all

All:
So you're going to hang!

Every time I hear about Monet, I think of this quote from Ocean's Eleven

Danny: Tess, you're doing a great job curating the museum, the Vermeer is quite good, simple, vibrant, but his work definitely fell off as he got older.
Tess: Remind you of anyone?
Danny: And I always confuse Monet and Manet. Now which one married his mistress?
Tess: Monet.
Danny: Right, and then Manet had syphilis.
Tess: They also painted occasionally.

Nothing to do with anything it's just a favourite quote :3
