I re-read Władysław Szpilman's memoirs on this weekend.
Plus I love the movie, and I wanted to draw a...movie art 8/

i love how the shading of everything but the faces are done in the same direction, makes me think of a grainy photograph! They're faces are so smooth and clear, the expression and likeness are recognizable but still done in a personal style.
Honestly, I think this is the only Polanski film I've seen that I actually liked...my favourite part in this movie was at the end when he finds the can of leeks or something and is given the jacket from the Nazi soldier. THis movie is so good!

Polański is ours greatest film director in my opinion. If you like "Pianista" you really should see other his movies : )

This is one of the most beautiful, haunting and heartwrenching films of all time. It is truly a cinematic masterpiece and one of my favorite films of all time. You have really captured this scene in the movie and the way you drew the characters is incredible. Your drawing of Adrien Brody looks just like him. Many, many praises.
PS-So "Evenstar" inspired you? I can see why. That piece of music always gives me the chills, it's so good.
