Description Fenix Pyir is the only one of her kind, a rare mating of a Phoenix and a Pegusus. What can I say, when Spring is in the air, love is on the wing!

Art Note:If I wasn't so lazy I would have done this better. It is my first pastel, and probably my last, they are so hard to work with!!

I've worked with pastels before and you're right, they're a pain in the arse to work with. I'm amazed at how good you are with them though...especially since it's your first time using them. Bravo. She looks beautiful to me.

Although the pastels were difficult to work with, i think you managed a very well done picture. The colors are so warm and the picture is so full of movement. Very nice!

Thanks! I friend of mine bought me these pastels about two year ago...for God knows what reason. And I dabbled with them for about five minutes. I then realized that every surface was covered in a fine layer of powery colour and I put them into a drawer. Then a recent viewing of some 'digital pastels' made me want to try and duplicate the style (which this picutre does not, heehee).

Maybe if you used some spray fixative it would help keep the powdery dust down? Me, whenever I do a complete pencil drawing, I use regular aerosol hairspray because you can get it for cheap...

I don't like to use sprays in the winter time beacuse I have birds in the house and the sprays can kill them. I can't spray outside because it's so freaking cold! hehee. But that's a good idea come spring!

That makes a lot of sense...I wouldn't want to see the bird get sick and die because of the sprays...
