*Splish Splash*

Went the rain puddles as you ran through them. Thankfully you were wearing rain boots instead of those God forsaken boots called Uggs. Those things could get the inside of your shoe wet so fast all because you didn't spray some water resistance crap. You twirled underneath the dark grey cards with your umbrella spinning around in the palms of your hand, the gathered up water on your umbrella flying out in circles around you. People who saw you do this made sure to stay out of your way so that they wouldn't get wet.

It had been so long since it had rained where you lived. So of course you were going to enjoy it while it lasted. Taking a deep breath, you tossed your umbrella to the side and let the rain shower your soul with its purity. You stood there in the rain, arms outstretched, eyes closed. Then you opened your eyes slowly, a smile on your lips. Quickly you kicked your shoes off and ran to the wet grass. Thankfully you were in a park and you could move about as much as you want. You felt the wet Earth underneath as the dirt peeked between your toes and the blades of grass tickled your feet. You started to dance your heart out. It had been so long since you had danced in the rain after all.

You raised your hands high above your head and swayed your hips to the sound of music that wasn't even there. You then started to hum a small tune to yourself, smile on your face never leaving.

Out of nowhere, someone wrapped their arms around your and the next thing you knew, your feet were lifted off from the ground and you were spinning around laughing your head off. Of course you squeaked in surprise at first but when you saw that the someone was Steve, your hubby and super soldier, you started to laugh.

"Steve! Not so fast!" You shrieked out while laughing. "I'm gonna get dizzy!"

"Wouldn't want my kitten to get sick now," He grinned as he slowed down and gently put you back down on the ground.

The world was still slightly spinning as well as you as you. You plopped down on the wet grass, not caring that your clothes would get wet or dirty. Hell your entire body was already wet with hair sticking to your face. Steve sat down next to you, his body starting to get wet as well. You saw that he had tossed his umbrella near yours.

"So what are you doing out here kitten?" He asked with a grin on his lips.

"I was dancing in the rain....and now I'm sitting in the rain," You explained.

He nodded and stood up, outstretching his hand towards yours. "I'm not a great dancer but....would you like to dance with me?"

You took his hand and got up, a bright smile on your face. "I'd love too."

He grinned and then immediately twirled you in the rain when he heard your response. You spun you out and around then brought you back to him, your hands now on his chest as he smiled down at you. You quickly got on your tippy toes and pressed your lips against his in a delicate kiss. He kissed you back of course, his lips feeling soft and warm against your own. He then placed a kiss on your nose, making you giggle a little. You rested your head against his chest, humming a small tune, your eyes closed once more.

"I love dancing in the rain with you," You whispered softly.

"And I love just being with you," Steve admitted shyly.

You looked up at him and flicked his forehead with your index finger. "You're too sweet you know that? It makes me feel so protective over you because I don't want another woman to steal you from me."

He grabbed your hand and brushed his thumb over the ring you wore. "See this ring? This doesn't just symbolize our marriage. It means that I love you beyond everything and anything that I ever had before. No woman is like you, no one. And trust me, I can't help to think the same thing when I see you with one of your guy friends. But then I see the ring on my finger and think that everything is just going to be alright between us."

You felt like you were on the verge of tears. That's how moved you were by his words. You wrapped your arms around his neck and brushed your lips against his in a passionate kiss that showed how much you felt about him and then some. He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed you just as fervently as you.

"I love you so much," You whispered, smile on your face.

And then you both looked up to see that it had stopped raining and a rainbow had formed in the bright blue sky.
