That Shield Orb NEEDED to be rendered as an avatar. There just wasn't any other way around that. x)

It practically needs the electric current though; else it'll end up looking like one of those blue spheres from the Sonic 3 (or Sonic 3 & Knuckles) Special Stages. xD
