Description
You were nicknamed the wall. As a muscle bound woman, you were strong and able to take a beating. That is if you let anyone beat you. Not only did you come from a military family, but you also were in the CSI for a while.

Even though you were now ex-CSI, you still liked to help solve crimes. It was more of a hobby than anything. On one particular case you met him, Sherlock Holmes.

Like other cases you had handled before, you were called in by Lestrade. The case itself was a homicide. You were examining the body when he entered.

“I need everybody out of here so I can think.” You thought he was joking so you stayed. “I said out.” He said pointing towards the door. You slowly made your way past, making eye contact as you did so. You gave him and his college a challenging look before exiting.

“Who is he?” You asked Lestrade.

“That’s Sherlock Holmes. A consulting detective.”

“I didn’t know that was a job.” You said flatly.

“He made the title himself. We bring him in to help sometimes and he can be very helpful.”

At that moment he came from the room and stood firmly in front of you and Lestrade. “I know who did this and how it was done.” It took him several minutes to explain the whole scenario in detail.

By the time he was done you were amazed. He got that from only a few minutes at the crime scene. “I’ll take my leave now.” And with that he was gone.

That was not the only time you saw him. After that, almost every case that Lestrade talked to you about had Sherlock show up at the scene. The second time you refused to leave the scene, curious of what he did.

He simply examined the body closely, looking for small details even you would have missed.

“We were never properly introduced last time. I’m (y/n).” He didn’t respond but his partner gave you an apologetic look.

“I’m John Watson and this is Sherlock Holmes. Nice to meet you.” You shook hands and waited patiently until Sherlock was finished investigating.

When he looked up you decided to speak. “So have you found the killer already?”

“As a matter of fact I have.” He looked at you and you felt as if you were the corpse being examined. “Let’s hear your theories.” He grinned.

“Fine.” You knelt next to the body and started examining it. Then you looked around the room at the surroundings before standing. “The butler did it. Simply put too much of the victims medicine in their drink. Overdose is what killed her.”

“Very good (y/n). However you missed something. The husband paid the butler to do so. If you look at the ring you can tell that it is an unhappy marriage.”

“You can tell that from a ring?” you asked skeptically.

“Of course look at how it is almost never worn but the scratches and dirt that are on it have never been wiped from the surface. It’s obvious really.”

This got under your skin since it had not been obvious to you. “Listen here, that may not have been as obvious but I bet there are plenty of things that you miss.”

“Never. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you (y/n).”

John stopped at the door and turned back to you. Don’t worry about him. He’s always like this.” Then he also left, leaving you fuming.

After that encounter you continued getting paired on cases so you started making it a contest. Who could get more clues and figure it out first. He was always slightly ahead of you and found things you missed but you were persistent. You were not going to let him beat you.

There were many cases where neither of you were able to come up with a solution for days. Currently you were working on a tough homicide by a untraceable gang that had both Sherlock and you stumped.

You had a long day and were on your way home one day when you were suddenly attacked from behind. You turned and punched the guy sending him over backwards. A second came quickly from the alley trying to get a jump on you but you were too quick.

You dodged his attacks and sent him to the ground with a coupe well placed punches. The first got up and managed to get you in the side with a taser he had pulled from his pocket.

You felt the electricity race through you, paralyzing you before the darkness swept over you.

When you woke up you were in a dark room bound to a chair with rope. It felt tight around your wrists and you struggled to free yourself.

A voice suddenly echoed in the darkness. “I see you’re awake. We know that you’ve been investigating us and would like you to stop. Since we know Mr. Holmes won’t stop, we thought that you would make a great motivational tool.”

“Let me go and I can talk to him. We will drop the case.”

“We both know that you wouldn’t simply let this go.” A light suddenly brightened the room, blinding you. As your eyes adjusted, you could make out at least three armed men.

Easy enough. I can take them on.

“If anything, you’ve given him more motivation to find you. Your plan backfired more than you can ever imagine.” As you hoped, this angered the leader to march towards you. He slapped you but you hardly felt it.

Luckily your legs had been left unbound so you kicked him between the legs before swinging the chair at him. On impact it broke enough to loosen the ropes.

The man was knocked out and you saw the other two quickly approaching you, guns raised. Now unbound, you ran at the nearest one. He didn’t have time to fire a single shot before you broke his nose and sent him to the ground. Hs weapon slid out of reach but he stood and charged you.

The last man had saw you charging and started to fire at you. You had dodged the second ones dodge, grabbed him and used him as a human shield against the onslaught of bullets. You quickly threw down the corpse and charged the last one.

He tried to fire but all that was heard was a click of an empty chamber. He swore as he tried to dig more bullets out. You had known from counting that he would be out so you hadn’t bothered swerving as you ran at him.

Before long, he was kneeling on the floor, beaten up and begging for his life. You one of the other guns and pointed it at him. “Tell me who sent you. I know you are not in charge here.”

“Please don’t shoot. I’ll tell you anything!”

The door suddenly flew open. You turned ready to fight more but stopped as you realized that it was Sherlock and half of the police force.

He saw you and grinned. “I’m glad you’re alright (y/n). I knew something was wrong when you didn’t show up this morning. It didn’t take me long to figure out where you were.”

“Thanks but as you can see, I have everything handled here. I could have made it out without your help.” You gestured towards your kidnappers.

“I can, but what if something had happened. I wanted to make sure you were alright. I can still worry.”

You blushed. “Thanks for worrying but I’m fine. I’m used to fighting my own battles without any help.”

“But you don’t have to be alone anymore. You have John and me. And we will never let anything happen.” You could feel the intensity of how much he truly meant what he said. In a moment of thoughtlessness, you kissed him.

You pulled away and looked at the dead body. “We need to take care of this mess and then we can talk more.” He nodded as Lestrade came over.

“Sorry to ruin the moment but I need to take (y/n)’s statement.”

You kissed him again. “Don’t worry, I’m fine. As you said, I’m not alone anymore.”
