Description
Was in a town near my home and saw this parked on the street. I wonder if Batman was Christmas shopping?Related content

Years ago the Tim Burton Batmobile (actually one of two they used in the movie) like this one was at an auto show in my city. I was there to set up strobes so people could get really good pictures of it. The guy in charge was injured and asked me to unload it and drive it to the location. We were indoors and fortunately all the doors were lowered or I would have been really tempted.

Thank you for the info... it must of been a unique experience.
I would have like to ask, whoever drove this one, what frame or/and car powertrain was this build on.

There is a fellow in my home town who built a Batmobile like the one in the TV show. Sometimes see it around town.

Since they are so different, they really do draw attention.

Even though they seem impractical, they really are neat looking.

I know it's a silly question, but... how do you get inside this thing? XD

That is not a silly question. I have half of a side photo and it looks like there is a sliver colored latch at the middle top, up by the top scoop. The front section, with the two windows, may swing open and you climb in the seat.. like a fighter cockpit - but I am only guessing. There is also rubber foot steps on either side of the window. Most of the exterior is obviously for show (no real jet engine) but I would liked to see it driven.
I was there about 1/2 hour and no one came to get in.

I know a lot of the batmobile. I've watched the movie a million times, and have a book on the vehicle.

I agree if it had a real jet engine, but most of the exterior is just for show. I didn't touch it but most of it looks like fiberglass. The person really did a good job in the design.

People remake the car and sell it for around $40,000.😩

The work on this car is stunning but I know nothing about car design. From my limited knowledge, I think it is worth it. But I would not want to pay the car insurance. It doesn't look it would do too good in an accident.
