Description
Here's the " 5th Ninja Turtle ", Venus de Milo, from " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Next Mutation ", a.k.a. the " Power Ranger Ninja Turtles ". I dunno much else about that series except for what I've recently read on Wikipedia.That there Screwloose seems to get around.

I remember her just a bit ... she seemed like a cool idea, but they seemed to be having some problems with getting her into the series. Now, this is how I remember it ... and I could be wrong. But since she's not shown up yet on the newer stuff, I would say they shelved her.

I remember when the show was on but never watched it. ( I wasn't much for Power Rangers ). I've read that Peter Laird hated her and has tried to erase her from existence. I dunno what Kevin Eastman thinks.

Too bad they didn't, but I can understand that. One of the reasons I disliked the idea of selling any of my ideas was when you do, you give up the rights and control of the characters' stories. This means they also become more of what the other person sees which could very much differ from your own.

Outstanding. I wish she'd been treated a bit kinder but then that whole series...sigh. What a waste of potential. It sucks that Peter & Kevin are fine with whatever the heck is is Bay thinks he's doing with them but we'll never see Venus again, probably.

Thanks. Just got it in my head to do Venus. I like to think of all the different incarnations of the turtles as different dimensions. That way, it's all possible. I'm really, really, reeeeeeally on the fence about that new movie though. ( Meaning, I'm really considering just never watching it ).

I'm going to watch it just because for all I know there may be something about it I like. I've looked at everything TMNT-good AND bad (because there has been a lot of awful stuff in the canon over the years) and have formed this idea of who and what they are in my head that isn't like how most people see them probably.
To be honest the reason I love your turtles so much (your stuff in general) is because it looks so much like how they've looked in my head all these years. YOu really know how to reach into my heart and pull out the feels man.

Glad to see Venus again. Now I'm sorta kicking myself in the ass for not watching that show as much as I could have.

She came out great; you drew her very well. Too bad there was such a controversy over a female mutant turtle OMG nerd raeg. :/

I did read about her on Wiki... something before doing this. The idea behind her isn't as dumb as it could be... although, I find it difficult that Splinter would have overlooked the 5th turtle when he found them in the sewer. it's kinda neat that she was raised in China. She's really not even a ninja.

From what I heard (although I could be wrong), the Turtles weren't supposed to even be related as brothers..if so, then that is rather strange. Whatever. Venus provided some sex appeal and some sass to the Turtle clan which was something that the other bros could have use. I also reckon that there was some competitiveness among them to be Venus's heartthrob which could be viewed in a negative way seeing as it was deemed a 'kids show' at the time.

They were some kid's pets originally so, they may not be DNA related at all. Also, as I recall, Leo was a year older than the other 3. He was 16 and they were 15. I dunno where I read that though but it was decades ago... well... maybe A decade and a pile of years. 
I think Venus was added to make the show different... aside from being live-action. Honestly, I recall when it was out but it wasn't until a few days ago that I did any research on it. I do remember seeing Venus action figures at K B Toys back in the day. Of course, I only want one when they sell for $50 to $60. 
I just don't think the writers of The Next Mutation really gave much of a crap back then. The premise for Venus was acceptable in a silly way but still sort of ...well, silly. They could do something decent with her. She doesn't even have to have been mutated by the same mutagen as the turtles.
