I've never drawn Jojo pale before so... I did. I have this marker called " blond wood " that I usually use on my Jojo pictures because on that kinda famous production image where Jojo is squinting with that little smile, he doesn't come off as pale as he is in the movie. So I was all BLOND WOOD! But, now that I've seen the movie 7 times, I'm learning that Jojo doesn't get much sun.This is weird though. I'm not sure if I'm all Phraggle-watches-Horton-too-much or what but after this latest viewing, at the end, during the song, I was taken slightly aback when I saw Vlad sing a verse. He sang the " crashing through your door " verse and well, I've never noticed it before. Does Vlad ( the vulture ) always sing that line or is there an alternate version of the movie I keep seeing until today? I know this is odd but, I guess my eyes are too full of tears and wanting to see Jojo sing so I may have just not noticed this before. But I swear someone else sang that line. Call me an idiot if you will but umm... yeah. So... woo.
So, here's a more pale Jojo in front of a wall.

And as tons of others have probably mentioned, yes, Vlad does sing that line and the Mayor repeats it after him.

Mostly Prismacolors I think. I used more colored pencils on this one too. I wanted to get some more fur texture on his face.

to funny i love the cindy who thing and you can never see a movie to many times i watched The Golden Compass 4 times. You can also never be to obssed with a movie i read all the Golden Compass Books i have a spin of book for the series am about to buy another and i have the uno an dice game for it and i got my deamon

Oh yeah! I'm no stranger to watching movies a billion times. All saw all of the Star Wars movies several times in theaters. And if you look in my scraps section, you can see my Fraggle Rock collection. I have a room full of that stuff and 2 rooms full of Star Wars stuff. I have a lot of stuff. I'd like a room full of Jojo stuff but... there's not much out there.

Yeah. 7 times. Honestly, I think my mind has been too preoccupied with Jojo that I just didn't notice Vlad singing that line. Plus, I really do tend to get kinda blinded by tears during the end most of the time. It just surprised me this last time to see Vlad.

Cindy-Lou is the little girl who that wakes up while the Grinch is stealing Christmas from her house. I sort of picture her being Jojo's... friend.

I noticed in a closeup that Jojo has some flesh rose pink under his pale fur, I assumed that was his skin tone underneath, I remembered tht while figuring out blad spots on his person for "Jojo Discovers Duct Tape"

In a lot of the promotion imagery, Jojo appears to have a healthier tint to his skin. Maybe it depends on the lighting... or maybe Whos can alter their fur color.

what I like is that on an animation interview the animators mentioned all whos are furry, even the ones who appear to be wearing clothes are really wearing their fur in a unique design, so they joked that when whos change their look/'clothes' they go to a barber/salon

Where is this interview anyway? I've heard about it from many but haven't seen it. I like the fur idea too. It's different, even if the animators were only joking about it.
