Description
Finished the last bit of soundtrack and animation to fit it - just a bit of rendering to do, but I'm too tried tonight. Should be child's play to finish things tomorrow night - then of course, I'll need to review the results for an anomalies... not that there would be any... (!)I really liked a lot of the little details in this one - which is not a camera angle currently planned for any of the animations.

Thanks, though I'm not sure I'm seeing the pink radiance - is there a specific part of the image where you're seeing it?

Ah - OK. It's interesting to me what people see. The white circle in the back, party showing through the port hole, is the one and only sun. I try not to show it too much as it just can't be bright enough to look like the real thing (or your display would blind you in an instant if you ever posted a white screen!). The little dodads to the left and below it are... ring drones.
A better view might be here:
I dreamed these little babies up I think back in October or so - (geez, I've been working on this nearly non-stop since early September... still lovin' it though).
The idea is the 4 rings, in a sort of tetrahedral configuration, can fly about by moving air through them - sort of like a Dyson fan. By adjusting the amount of air through each ring, they can float or move around at will; they are very light-weight. The are generally used as observers and recorders. The initial animation coming up soon will be the point of view of Ring Drone 1 - the darker colored further back near the center of the scene.
As we find out soon, they can also move through space, utilizing a technology used in Dick Tracy which powered the Magnetic Space Coupe. (I need one of those.)
I should do a little data sheet on these guys - you know, in my copious spare time.
