Description The second of three 3D animations intended to test out my process for generating good looking binocular 3-Dimensional animations.   You'll have to take my word for it - this looks really cool on my TV in 3D mode.

I'm planning on using this set in an upcoming animation.    In particular I wanted to play with the lighting.  I added POSer traditional point lights under many of the hanging lights...    but that looked wrong.   I added some "distance" to the lights which simulates real lighting, but it's only approximate.

What I'd really want to do is use indirect lighting - but it pushes the render time out about 5X - the frames look great, but are unusable for animation as each frame is different and there serious noise problems.

This is starting to look like a job for Octane - or maybe Blender.

I'm taking a month off from work starting this Friday - I should have time to do something fun...

One thing I really want to do is add a soundtrack for those lights coming on - solenoids and mercury vapor lamps ....  OoooOooh!

This great prop is The Old Warehouse by  found here: www.daz3d.com/the-old-warehous… .

There is now a red/green anaglyph version here:

Glad you liked it - but seriously, that's mostly your work - great prop.

If you're set up to see 3D (TV w/ side-by-side, etc) I can post that version.

Good work, did you try walk camera ( up and down, like step by step and change speed like run and quit).

No - besides being hard to do well - the point of view was intended to be a small, hovering drone.   I've also read that trying to do steps in 3D (especially VR - which I hope to do more of) can be very jarring and uncomfortable.

Thanks for watching!

Well - I did have something in mind - related to this:

But I lost the original sessions, so I'd need to start over.    It would be the third and final part of the story.

Working on another one for now - but...   we'll see.

? - Oh, I see - it's a game.  This is a DAZ model - I'll post the details later.   I suppose it could have been used in the game - or maybe just looks similar.

Lookin' Really Good
(and the last one too)
Really like the way the lights 'flicker' on; Nice Touch.
Alas, Anaglyph is still my only 3D option, so I will
be waiting with baited breath.
(where the hell does that expression come from?
  may have to look it up... lol)

Well I'm going to be a bit busy the next few days, but mostly I just need to set it up and run my make3D script for the anaglyph - I'll get that posted most likely in the next couple of days.

I think it's "bated" - "baited" would be more like if you'd been eating a lot of minnows...

Finally had to look it up

Your right on the correct spelling ;
Bated is simply is short for Abated;
So, "Waiting with Abated Breath", makes perfect sense.
Almost synonymous with "Breathlessly Awaiting", Etc...
First known use of "bated" : Shakespeare.
Not a surprise, guy was always adding words to the English language.
Interestingly, the spelling 'baited' is not uncommon since the late
20th Century; so I may have gotten it from that.
But also, as I do like my Sardines occasionally;
I actually could be waiting with 'Baited' breath

Ah - cool.  You know, I actually started to say "sardines"...

Language - we rely on it for so much, but are any of us really its master?
