I was recently watching Legend of Korra when thinking about how the World of the Avatar would look like when my fan fiction characters visit it from outer space, which would be of the Cyberpunk age like Blade Runner (as a deduction of seeing how Legend of Korra is steampunk, a cousin to cyberpunk), but in a non-dystopian way and a bit upbeat one at best. Then I just realized a famous example of such with flying cars and all that just so happened to be The Fifth Element, so I faved this picture!

yeah... the end of both were exactly the same *spoiler* lights shoot out of their mouths into the sky. Moral of the story? Love conquers all! Was a little disappointed when the big climax of the 3 season television show was done better (and prettier) years earlier and in less than 2 hours by one of my favourite movies...

The writers of Avatar were maybe fans of The Fifth Element. Of course, the whole bringing the elements together to save the world story is nothing new; it's been told plenty before in different variations.
