Just some sketches of Thrax in a more animalistic monster format akin to Xena. I’d like to make a proper illustration or character sheet type dealio for it like I did with the Tim Burton Thrax. Atm need to focus on comic pages though, so have this to tide you over until next page 💚

for this, he is similar to a snake, basilisk cobra vibes, but dragonlike with arms and upper torso, extra long claws, and two serpent like hoods that can be folded around him to imitate his trench coat look when not extended for flight/gliding. Lower body is like a long serpent, including a sharp bony rattle on the tail and a pincer/retractable stinger blade at the tip that glows with high powered inflammatory infectivity. He can still speak, but his voice is different with more growls and hisses similar to Smaug/Jafar. His body is mostly black apart from his “stomach” and head which are red, and the insided webbing of his hood which are dark purple, with fiery orange glowing patterns, as well as a red orange magma like glow between his ‘scales’ along the black body. When enraged, he can almost magma-fy himself, glowing like fire, with the ability to breach jets of flame from his mouth like a dragon. His fangs also glow similarly to his tail blade, allowing him to infect people with bite as well. He’s capable of longer more controlled flight than his humanoid counterpart, similar to a warbat. His hood also engulfs in flames when enraged, giving him almost a pseudo serpent/Phoenix type appearance in flight.
