What makes you think she isn't? Just because she isn't with the other Mane Six doesn't mean anything. If you'll remember in the prologue, the world went to shit before Twilight would have had the chance to even meet them. As far as we can guess, she's going to probably be introduced a long while down the line, most likely once we get a re-introduction to Celestia post-mental breakdown.
