Description It wouldn't be mechwarrior without a lame starting mech...
No jumpjets, low armour, short ranged weapons...
But hey, at least it's better than a stinger. ^^

not lame at all; 90kph running, Srm6/Srm4 combo and a medium laser with the heat sinks to handle almost all of it - I'll take it

I tried the twin SRM load out in my game and it was deadly.

I've set up SRMs so they fire in bunches of two and have a chance to track the enemy based on your accuracy score (which is a combination of factors, scuh as heat, damage sustained, if youa re jumping running or whatever). The tracking speed itself is also affected by your accuracy score.

With two SRM6s you can fire almost non-stop.

Inferno SRMs will ruin someones day if you play them right, especially on a mech that light. Hit and run.

I never much liked close-range brawling in the MW games, but if it could move quickly, it looks like it wouldn't be a very bad mech to have. As a backup.

Well, it's not so bad if the SRMs are guided....

Thanks all! ^^

I battletech SRMs are great, loads of damage at short range.

But in the mechwarrior games, SRMs are all but useless. They don't auto aim and their slow flight time means that there is much less chance of hitting than with medium lasers, or other weapons. In MW4 even LRMS are better at short range (as they can lock even at point blank range).

It's one of the issues I hope to deal with in my own game. Making sure that each mech, each weapon, has a specific use. And used properly, even the commando and its SRMs can be deadly.

Well, in the MW games, there are Streak SRMs, which lock on (I think)... It's been a while since I last played it, but you're right. The LRMs were a lot better at all ranges than the SRM or the MRM. Granted, there were Streak MRMs (I think) in the Mercenaries add-on, but don't quote me on that.

Awesome Didn't like his look in MW4 but this looks so pimp!

Yeah, not a Commando jocky myself but it disserves it's props. Maybe if they gave it a Omni refit like the Firestarter, it would have more fans.

I'm not so sure about "lame". Not only is it cheap, this 'Mech does deliver one hell of a wallop for its size. Great rendition of one of my more favored light 'Mechs.
