Here he is finally, fire and all. I voted against the wings, it seemed to distracting from the flames. I also skipped the feet flames, it just seemed to much. Next time I will probably make all the red parts here yellow instead. Since the flames are yellow and orange the red tends to stick out but not like I had intended. Can't crochet a horn small enough to work, so I used a trimmed down pipe cleaner. Love this yarn, it's wispy and wild like fire, except it was a pain to dye it that way. I could only find white, and at $8 a roll, I wasn't about to buy more that one.

Anyway, this originally came from the "Elements" theme in our group but then I got an idea to make something else for it. I had intended on making a Gryphon for this Mythology contest, but instead I decided to submit this guy. I actually finished the Gryphon, its just hard to pose it in the way I saw in my head, so I will post it later. Not the typical picture that comes to mind when you think of Mythology, but I looked at the other submissions and they are breaking free of their boundaries, so can I.

Yes, I know I've posed almost every horse I've made in this pose, but there is just something so awesome about this. Standing around is boring, haha.
