I came up with this scenario while talking with friends about a potential alien invasion,which humanity is forced to retreat into remote corners of the world such as Sahara,Amazon or Siberia. The most important event of this scenario is The Catastrophe,a series of events that cause Aepuverians on Earth to lose contact with the Empire. This causes an massive resource outage(Aepuverian machinery is far too advanced to use most of what is available on Earth) and Aepuverian governates,called Sectors start competing with each other for supplies. An emergency meeting is held between various Sector Governors,and 2 proposals are sent.

1.Use Earth's resources to full extent to launch expeditions,and regain contact with the Empire.

2.Use Earth as a seed for a new Aepuverian Empire.

None of these proposals strike a majority,and Aepuverian Emergency Council disbands,which will regroup in approximately 8 years.
To have the majority,Sector Governors secretly begin to sabotage each other,subtly,or outright war.

The collapse of several Redemption Camps,and humanity recovering,only time will tell if Aepuverians will hold on to Earth.
