Luckily Knock Out and Breakdown are a canon couple in the IDW comics.

Oh yes I was so glad they were canon (especially their little vacation together) ^^Β I think Prime writers tried to show it as much as they could in a TV show...still his death was sad and the way Breakdown was turned into a monster is just so tragic.

More like tried to show that they were a team, a team that didn't work together THAT well, as in the comic relief duo.
What happened to Breakdown was plain horrible and disgusting.

Well they were a team but I had the feeling it was more than this sometimes...I remember KO's line "He is a brutal but he is a maestro behind a rotaryΒ buffer"
Oh yes...I think it was the most horrible death to me. Was sad for Knockout afterward for losing his friend. At least he had a replacement in Starscream I think when it came to plot...sorta. Still sad however x'(

I didn't say they wouldn't care for each other, yet they were the early comedy duo, if you happen to remember the goofy scenes right in the episode where they came? Deus Ex Machina? At the museum where Bulkhead pancaked KO between him and the building when Breakdown smacked the big green bot? Breakdown hit Knock Out in the face (so hard the white chipped off his face!) with his hammer when they tried to attack Bulkhead on the field! 
And to add, I was happy with the scene where Knock Out wanted to revenge Breakdown's fate when he got to know what happened. ^-^

HAHAHAHA yes xD And the best is the Japanese version where he screamed "GOMEEEE!" (sorry!) when he hit Knockout x) that's awesome. And the scene where Bulkhead Knockout and Breakdown "Daddy, mommy uncle" xDD
Β Seriously why did he die? x( He was an awesome character. I was a bit disappointed before "Human factor" that we didn't have the reaction of Knockout but that's clear he cared for him. Especially the scene "You're no Breakdown" was sad.

It's the japanese way of talking, like adding a speech pattern that the bots don't have originally. But it's okay, I've heard the Finnish voices of it and... I can't!
