No, you're not stupid, you just don't know yet! Well, first, do you have MME Installed? If so, then you'll click the little "MMEffect" tab at the top right. Once you clicked the MMEffect tab, you'll click the first choice named "Effect Mapping (M)". After that, you can just follow the tutorial, and it should work.
