I made a sort of guide thing for MMD.

As for the global/local thing
Local: Moves bones on their default axis. More naturally, to put it simply.
Global: There are situations where you would use this, it's for moving bones along the axis that's on the ground. If, say, you have an arm in a position you like, but you need it a little higher, you could switch to global and move it up along the Z or X axis.
