I love drawing pikachu so much, especially on the etch a sketch. I love how pikachu's basic design has been tweaked over the years.This specific pikachu design was used for Pokemon Ranger, Shadows of Almia.
It took around 2 hours to make, and the background consists of pokeballs and little lightning bolts. Pikachu's face ticks me off, though; every facial feature is really far apart from everything else, so it's a pain to make it on an etch a sketch, where everything has to be connected by a line.

yep, I started playing with one when I was 4, but I didn't start seriously messing with etch a sketches until I was around 12. So...7 years?

That happens for 2 reasons
1. The etch a sketch has bad mechanics. Every etch a sketch is different. Some have thicker lines, some make a lot of noises when you turn the knobs, some get jammed, some are impossible to shade with.
The etch a sketch I drew this pikachu on, for example, is a bad etch a sketch. It got jammed a few times, and it was -impossible- to shade in some areas. I had a battle with pikachu's nose.
or 2. you kept turning the knob when the line was at a wall.
