Description
This etch a sketch of Snivy and Oshawott was a very special commission, and I used it as an opportunity to try out some new shading techniques.
I actually tried out the new shading techniques because the image was faded twice during the preservation process. It was a hapy accident though as that is the only way you can achieve lighter greys (see Oshawott's stomach)
...even after all this time I still refer to these pokemon as Ottderp and Smugleaf

So cute~ Snivy and Oshawott were the Pokemon my husband and I chose. <3 Oh my gosh, makes it sound like we're actually Pokemon trainers or something. Ā
Anyway, I have always loved your art! In fact, I can't believe I forgot to rewatch you when I made my new account. There's just one thing I've always wondered... how do you preserve these, since the image is typically lost when you shake the etch-a-sketch?Ā

Aw that's so cute!
Thanks so much for re-watching my art!
I preserve etch a sketches by removing the excess powder from inside the unit. That way there's nothing left in the etch a sketch to erase the image when you try to shake it!

For some reason, I see this Oshawott as a girl (cuz of the lines connecting the eyes and the head which make them look like eyelashes) and Snivy as a vampire. xDĀ
That aside, this is amazingly done.
