Nice! it actually worked! Sadly, my flash program won't let images that I paste onto it have transparency and the drawing tools don't work, so the only game I have a slight problem there.

Yes there is! Under "Actions-Frame"... where you put in your action commands!

where is 'actions-frame' ? i can see that option only if i don't have my symbol highlighted. if i highlight my symbol it changes to 'actions-movie clip'

I managed to get no errors (I do most stuff on flash 5) but can't figure how to get the symbol to actually move.

The code should actually look like this:

Here is what will work when copied into the Actions box. Make sure it is in Expert Mode
//this line commands to drag the shape when you click on it
