Ok, info time: Why didn't Sparkle asked earlier?
Answer: She wasnt ready to know!
Stated before on the page where she talks to Iron the first time. After the loss of her parents and all that other loss, still healing, it would of hurt her worse knowing sooner. She needed time. Yes she thought about asking, but she wasnt ready to know just yet. And now she feels ready, even though she's still down about everything else, she's a bit over her parents, it's Leon who keeps haunting her. Really, she needs Isaac's support and he isnt around.

So she wants to know if he's around or not.

Or if he's even alive. HOWEVER! She knows Isaac most likely left to find his trainer, but she just wants to be told that.

And we'll find out something in the next page.

I'm not liking Iron's face there.......
