Watch the size of the eyes in relation to the rest of the face. Too big and you're into anime territory!
Also her navel is a little low, and it looks like you had a little trouble with her hand, am I right?
I'm nitpicking, because I know what a good artist you are, and you'll take these things on board.
As I said, its a very nice piece. Playful, fun, bright, eye catching, and cute. Your friend should be very pleased!
Oh, and well done for tackling plaid! It can be a nightmare, but your patience has paid off, especially on the leg warmers! XD
