Magical. I love the realism of the woman in the slightly surreal setting, and the mystery in the piece - the darkness, the hidden eyes of the woman, the intriguing cloth draped like hills... Great use of colour in the sky, too, and wonderful composition. Congratulations on the really well-deserved DD!

Wow! At first I started to wonder why you've just photographed half of the painting and had the woman there when you've submitted to trad. art (and I thought it was a good photograph), then I realised she was painted too. Man...great painting!

When i painted this subject, it was my "Dali " period if you can say , so your remarq is very precise but what i used to really like in Salvador Dali's work was his late (after 1950 s ) Artworks ,more than the surrealistic ones that made him famous. I'm more on the Symbolic classical side.

but i think he was pure surrealism, it was in his hand..everything that he painted (or maybe yes..97% of everything, because ive just found a painting i would have NEVER thought dali did..) was surreal..i think and suppose that all his paintings had a meaning for him, the "weird" things were symbols for a feeling..
or could you explain further what you mean with the "symbolic, classical side", do you have a certain painting in mind?
