Description
I haven't drawn many of my own original characters in a while (That one of Dahlia I have up is actually a few weeks old), so here goes. I realize some of you out there may not be very familiar with some of them... Others might not recognize any of them at all. So I'll introduce you to them, one by one, giving you their name, what IP they hail from, DOB, and maybe one or two sentences of personal info.OK, PJ, take a deep breath. Starting from the top left, going counter-clockwise around the entire shot.
Musashi; March 12. Responsible, kept to himself, married with one child, and works as a pirate aboard the Rat Trap against his will. (He got Shanghai'd.) The Pirate's Life for Me
Ash Kenbrooke; January 8. Gullible to an extent, friendly, has super-strength and impenetrable skin and impeccable speech ability. MAVERICK: Anima Diaboliche
Carbunkl; Unknown. Mysterious, taciturn, and extremely dangerous, with a negative attitude towards human beings. Wishes
Jerry Money(The mouse holding the moneybag); October 4. Exceptionally greedy, habitual liar, dislikes churches, and prefers "hourglass" female mice. Works aboard the Rat Trap. The Pirate's Life for Me
Byson the Hammer; October 20. Taciturn, shy around women, weak when it comes to food, but totally ruthless in combat. Dependable in a fight, and is a master of handling axes and maces. Works as first mate aboard the Rat Trap. The Pirate's Life for Me
Mr. Drawing-Is-Fun; February 1. Works a daytime children's show about how to draw various items. Has a tendency to be mean to the kids who come on his show, and has serious rage issues. My Neighborhood
Shasta Agasma; July 19. Corrupt enslaved djinn. Hates humans but due to her curse, she is forced to grant their wishes. As a means of bitter revenge, Shasta grants people's wishes in ways they don't ask for. A thoroughly bitter and bored person. Wishes
Dakota Homicide; August 9. Demon mafioso who was presumed dead when a train he was on had crashed, Dakota Homicide is trying to build his own mafia crime family. Has a morbid fascination with violence, loves to have fun above most other things, and is a total perv and skilled assassin. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Don Morpheus; August 10. Homicide's former boss. Wants to see to it that Homicide is dead for reasons undisclosed. Loves fine wine, beautiful women, orchestraed music, and has a twisted sense of justice. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Bruce Delacroix; June 3. A young man with a strong sense of justice and a soldierlike attitude concerning duty and honor. Bruce is hard as a rock, both in terms of attitude and in terms of fighting prowess. Uses either a giant sword or his trusty steel bat. MAVERICK: Anima Diaboliche
Ivory; March 27. A young enslaved genie who is cursed to grant the wishes of humans for the next 4000 years of her life. Despite her bitter attitude towards most humans, she accepts her curse as something she deserved for her past sins and tries to do as much as she can for her master. Wishes
Tommy the Nutritional Boy; January 3. A young boy looking for work who comes across a bizarre island and its even more bizarre residents--almost all of whom have an appetite for him. The only thing that helps him survive this island is his unending fountain of wit and sarcasm, along with sheer, unbridled angry whiteboy rage. The Unforgivably Morbid and Occaisionally Sarcastic Misadventures of Tommy the Nutritional Boy
Louis; Unknown. A voodoo doll attached to a young vampire in terms of life and blood. Has a modest attitude, refers to itself in third person as "Self" (As in, "Self does not understand how Mr. Homicide can find love in that dishonest woman."), hates dishonor, and loves children. Has the power of pyrokinesis along with his immense strength. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Jack Suicide; April 8. An imp from the frozen north who is good with machines and chemistry. Has an almost fatherly quality as he is the most responsible and sagely of his cohorts, although he has his comedic moments. He and Homicide are constantly at odds with each other over how each situation must be solved. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
"Lucky" Theodore Vegas; April 20. A human posing as a demon, Lucky worked for another crime boss who only used him to gain funds from his unusual skill of gambling. Lucky is a gifted individual, an expert at nearly everything, and regards Homicide as his mentor and best friend because Homicide helped free him from his previous boss. Unfortunately, Homicide is totally jealous of Vegas and often plots to kill him, even though Vegas works for him willingly. Vegas of course is oblivious to Homicide's hostility and thinks he's just playing around. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Professor Fisektomy; August 21. The nutty main resident of Island Stranger-Than-Fiction. Began experimenting with the island's wildlife some years ago and only ended up creating bizarre monsters that now inhabit the island. Behaves in an almost schizophrenic way, often saying things that don't make sense or are totally inappropriate. Lives with his granddaughter Agatha, his hired nurse Mary, and his created maid, Lilly. Is said to have once performed a labotomy on himself with no anesthetic. The Unforgivably Morbid and Occasionally Sarcastic Misadventures of Tommy the Nutritional Boy
The Guitarist; April 12. Lead guitarist of the fictional rock band The Letter E. After building her own guitar from scratch, she learned to play it to the point where her skills would be considered almost legendary and godlike. Loves ice cream, rock music, and painting, but loathes drug abuse and alcohol. Has a bossy attitude and acts as almost an older sister to the other members of the group. Is rumored to have romantic relations with the Singer of the group, but that's just the tabloids. The Letter E: Bizarre Rock Fantasy
Dahlia Barish; October 31. A goth girl with a sense of duty only paralleled by her gothic fashion sense. Though some may percieve her as someone who only sees in terms of black and white, this is not the case; she just loathes criminals and monsters with extreme prejudice. Her beauty often sends mixed messages to her peers, resulting in hilarious conversations. As a member of the MAVERICK-hunting task force White CROWN, Dahlia fights with a destructive whip that leaves MAVERICKS with something to be afraid of. MAVERICK: Anima Diaboliche
Slim Velvet; November 21. Evillest son of a biscuit this side of al Quida. Heads a band of ne'er-do-wells that gained riches through dishonesty and manipulation of Lucky's talent. Dislikes naysayers, and has a violent nature. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Charlotte Revolver; November 30. A member of the rock band KmQ, a band whose music is a mixture of styles (Usually glam metal, heavy metal, death metal, emo rock, and hard rock) and music focuses mainly on themse of life, death, crime, punishment, responsibility, and individuality. Although she performed most of the music (bass while on stage, with prerecorded rhythm guitar and other instruments), her name was often forgotten. That changed when she became one with her arrogant, forceful nature and stole the stage from Dirk by performing a song with both rhythm guitar and bass... simultaneously. This wowed the crowd, and even impressed Dirk himself. The performance enraged Dirk's agent, but before he could fire Charlotte, Dirk had stopped him, saying the performance was precisely what his act needed to keep going. This is when the name of band, formerly "Dirk Cauldron", had changed to "KmQ" ("Kill Me Quickly")--Cauldron often saying he hated that his agent wanted to keep it a one-man show anyway. Since this incident, Charlotte has grown fond of Dirk, the two eventually becoming lovers. She has an arrogant disposition, but she has loads of dignity and talent. And yes, her design is based largely on famed guitarist Slash. The Letter E: Bizarre Rock Fantasy
Ryan Sumners; April 16. Reluctant werewolf. Is one of the most unhappy characters I've made, with a life of crime and a broken home behind him, and now that he is a werewolf, he's not sure how he should go about handling his own life--since it is apparent to him now that he is never in control of what happens. However, this antihero eventually trains himself to control his inner primal beast and becomes a fighting force to be reckoned with. Fullmoon Chronicles
Heather Sundown; April 18. A vampire who doesn't realize she is a vampire. Joined Homicide's growing mafia group after he "saved" her from a drunk jogger. Is a kind, inncent person at heart, but when she gets angry, even her boss takes cover and whimpers. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Crime
Odio; Unknown. One of the Nine Sons of the evil warlock from years past, Odio is the youngest of the nine, and the most insecure. In his desperate bid for acceptance by his older brothers, Odio often goes on missions unasked and only ends up making things worse for both our heroes and the villains. I've changed his design somewhat, and to be honest, I like this version better. MAVERICK: Anima Diaboliche
Ifrit (In the background next to Odio's head); February 8. A calm, powerful djinn who was once Ivory's lover. Some say he's still interested in her, but she would rather continue her life. He consideres battle his hobby and has even engaged in a few battles during the early invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan to test his ability. Some may say he's a warmonger, but he also fights mainly to protect those important to him--and that, my firends, is Ivory. Wishes
Frode, Unknown. The second-oldest of the Nine Sons, and a talented liar and actor. Has a tendency to be overdramatic with his selection of words, though. Loves nothing more than messing with people's heads. MAVERICK: Anima Diaboliche
Eric Diesel, March 1. Ivory's current master. Inherited Ivor's prison--which is a music box--from his grandmother, who had passed away. When he wishes for Ivory to make a girl he knows fall in love with him, she sneers at him. Ivory then coaches Eric on how to talk to girls, and eventually, Eric and the girl he likes start dating. However, the girl (Whose nickname is "Alley Cat") had an abusive boyfriend who still would not let her go. After getting his ass handed to him, Eric then makes his second wish to Ivory: "I want to be stronger. So that I can protect Alley, so that I can finally stand up for myself." So Ivory takes him to China, where he learns a martial art strong enough to kill djinns. And that is where he is today. Wishes
The Angel of Earth, Unknown. A spirit of the earth itself, this guy has made it his promise to help Hopey Seed find safety in the next town, but this quest is a perilous one. As a matter of fact, the Angle of Earth happens to be blind, and relies on Hopey's sight to guide him. The Giant and Me
Hopey Seed, October 1. The last existing Pumpkin Elf. For some reason, an evil wizard desires to have them all wiped out. However, she is protected by the Angel of Earth, who in turn, needs Hopey to see. Hopey is shy and timid, and is no bigger than a tomato in height. But she has a strong heart and an even stronger faith. The Giant and Me
Max, July 29. The enigmatic member of Homicide's crew, and the only other main member of the group who is human (The other being Lucky). Not much is known about him, other than that he used to be a memebr of the Reapers, and he keeps to himself. However, he seems to be tormented by a sordid past and is currently attempting to defeat a wicked demon who bears a grudge against all other demons. Homicide/Suicide: Partners in Time
Oh man, that took me an hour to write... >< Why'd I have to draw so many characters on one page???

I love it when you do these and I think it's probably your best one yet. ^.^ Plus we get introduced to at least one new series I don't recall being mentioned before and a few new characters along with revisits from others. Got a whole universe of weird and interesting going on.

While I was drawing this, I had the weirdest idea.
It's a space odyssey, an idea I haven't used yet. But the fact is, the whole idea lampoons storytelling, anime, movie, and video game cliches, along with internet memes and overall weirdness. As a bonus, I decided to have all my other awesome characters make guest star appearances from time to time. I call it "Space Odyssey Battlerock." (Which is actually the name of the starship the main characters drive.) I'll post up art of the main characters sometime when I get the chance.
