Description
Project for class. My character swinging on a swingset~This took a long time! Getting the swing itself to work at least semi-properly in BS-Perspective and then everything else, oof. Enjoy!
I'll probably continue tweaking things before adding sound and turning this darn thing in.
Keyframes and BG were done on paper, everything else in Flash. Next time I'll try to make things less wobbly.
EDIT: added an extra frame to the part where she swings forward.

i think it works really well.
the only thing i can find to mention at all, is the a bit-too-sharp turn on her hair, between forward and back. that was slightly too rigid for me, but it is a very very minor thing in a really good work.
the motion is fluid, and the swing itself moves very believably, especially impressive is the way it "behaves" after the girl jumps off.
good work, really impressive!

what would make this even better would be if you had her looking directly at us after she jumps off. It would make it 100x cuter and maker look even more as if she's very proud of herself.

Wonderful work! Now a couple of questions:
What framerate do you usually work in, this looks too smooth to be 12fps.
I did see a little bit of this in the livestream, and how were you able to scrub back and forth through the timeline in Flash? I've never figured out how to do that.

It looks real nice, but something that bothers me is that the swing stops quite suddenly on the forward and backward swing. Of course, I have absolutely no idea how difficult it is to tweak stuff like that in flash.

wooow this is soo good! i really love it. I love how the swing starts slowing down after she jumps off! I think that it might be better if you slow down (or add more of the same frame) every time she is at the end of each swing. It would take a little longer for the swing to stop and go in the opposite direction both ways... if that makes any sense...
