Aphmau was panting after the sparring session she had with Aaron. She wiped the sweat off her face bent her back in a stretch. After talking a bit with Aaron(I didn't feel like adding his dialog) Aphmau wondered how Aaron could cope with his loss since she couldn't.
"Aaron... how have you managed-"
"Do you know why Tu'la invaded O'kahsis? It's been on my mind, I can't see why they would..." Aaron stated. Tu'la was a crime group from another country that had basically taken hold of O'kahsis City and it's citizens.
"I've been racking my brain trying to up with an answer to that... but honestly I don't know what it could be... If Garroth were here I could ask him of this. He'd be able to help..." Aphmau started to sniffle a bit.
"You still think there's a way to get him back from there?"
"There is... We just haven't found it yet... I know we have enough money... but it's more then that..." Aphmau started to feel tears welling in her eyes.
"It's just that... I miss him Aaron... I'm sorry..."
"Don't be sorry... It's good to have someone to talk about these things," Aaron replied. "Or else you'd go crazy."
Tears started to fall from Aphmau's face and it was getting harder to breath.
"It's my fault..." She turned away to hide her tears. "If only I had... If only I had kicked stupid Zane out of our town... If only I had done something about him, when I had the chance... I...I could have taken out Zane myself... there were plenty of moments he was left unguarded... and maybe Garroth would still be..." Her body shook and the tears refused to stop.
"...Aphmau..." Aaron walked up to her. "You are a good person. There's no way for you to have known..."
"I miss him..." her voiced quivered as she attempted to wipe the tears away to no avail. "He was my friend. He was always there for me..."
"He was a great man, Aphmau. He IS a great man," he paused. "He's still alive...and we'll get him back. I promise."
"You don' need to promise anything," Aphmau stuttered through tears.
"It's my choice."
"Thank you..." Aphmau looked up to the glistening night sky and spotted the brightest star, and she wondered if Garroth could see it too. (I'm sorry for the extra cheese TwT. I just love cheese)
