TMNT vs Zombies!!! Hey everyone, here's my second of four illustrations for my pet project Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Zombies! Nothings scarier than being trapped in the sewers and swarmed by Zombies! Will Leo get out? Well I'll leave that up to your imagination

Whoa! Monsters Vs Leonardo swords? Clean up on aisle 4!!! You are great artist. I like Marvel but I'm a DC guy and I really like how you drew Superman, Batman, and Wonder woman. Keep it up!

My god, you REALLY capture their personalities well in these paintings of yours. It's absolutely insane. And the texturing is just gorgeous....I simply cannot fathom how you can pull off such amazing realism like this. I think of the four 'Turtles vs. zombies' pictures, this one is my favourite. I think it has....something to do with the lighting, expression, pose and use of space. Leo really looks...cornered, almost. And his expression and body language show it.
Out of curiosity....how long have you been drawing/painting? Your work certainly shows a lot of experience...I'm just curious how much is natural talent and how much is...practice. XD

As to your question about drawing/painting, I'm 31 years old and started drawing when I was 3. I was pretty heavy into drawing from about 5 to 16, drawing cartoon characters (disney, warner bros, etc) as well as comic characters. I stopped drawing when I was 15 to focus on Karate and it wasn't until I was 26 that I decided to start drawing again and do it seriously. As for painting, I started painting late in November 2008 so I'm just about to hit the 4 year mark for painting. So it's been a lot of practicing I would say lol
and if you look at the bottom of my folders in my gallery you'll see a folder labled "old work". That shows all of my progression from pencils to painting

Oh wow, you've sure been at it for quite a while. That's really amazing. And hey that painting of yours is sure great for a first!
