For the current Project: Rooftop re-design contest.I pretty much took a 180 turn from my previous attempt, although I did keep the color scheme and the mask's basic design as I liked those elements.
I realized I wanted to try something a little more "believable", while still keeping him recognizable as Wolverine and integrating some of his common costume elements into the design. This was probably sub-consciously inspired by the Quitely "biker X-Men" outfits from Morrison's New X-Men run more than anything.
I feel a lot better about this design than the other one I did. Hopefully the judges will feel the same...

Cool man. I dig the ensemble. I think it looks like a young wolvie design, something that could be ultimate wolverine. Maybe too much brown is making me think that.

Thanks, man! Yeah, I kinda did a 180 on my first idea. Was going for more of an Ultimate/movie design. Of course, I started looking for other entries after I sent this in, and found some other people had ideas very similar to mine... Still hoping for maybe another mention, though.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a problem with showing off your entries elsewhere beforehand. I didn't post my Batman one until after I sent it in - I wish I'd waited, as I got some constructive crits on that one that I could've used....

Hmm... Personally, I think it's quite a worthy contender. Love the jacket especially. But you may have went a bit overboard with the X's on his wrists and ankles, looks almost... Jamaican. But that's just nitpicking on my part. XD

Thanks, man! Placing in the last contest kinda raised my hopes a little, but really I'd be super-happy to even just get a mention again. I'm sure there'll be a lot of entries, and I've seen some good ones already on deviantArt...
