Description

kit is finally a thing

shown only in the new “most likely operating environment” (”mloe”) palette (the first image is the plain uniform, two and three are mloe uniforms with mloe kit), because that’s what i did first. mloe is a merger between ranger, scimitar, alpine and hoodlum (urban grey light). these are the “most likely” palettes to be used by any given unit, and the intent was to come up with a transitional palette, which this does very well.

don’t worry though, i did do kit in all of the main palettes. i left off doing the handful of non-serious/test palettes (kobpat, kobpat navy, buccaneer, alpine, bunda, and normandy) because honestly coding this is a nightmare.

i wish i could get them to spawn with optics/lasers, but that’s kind of tangential to the main effort here.

as before, kobpat and urban grey light/hoodlum (lopat) were originally developed by . i did up kobpat uniforms mostly for fun; i don't think i'll be releasing them, unless somebody wants them.

Very interesting pattern, pip! It looks amazing on the second picture. Is the fourth picture a hybrid camo or something? I see squared shapes on the soldier's right leg and arm.

Lookin' good! Nice to see your excellent patterns on some good uniforms. Love to see what else you do with them.

If you ever get bored, seeing some different pattern sizes for these would be neat, too!

thank you! hopefully i can bring more to the table later, but this will have to do for now.

although, i don't think i'll change the size--the reason it's this size (21 1/3" at 150 dpi) is that one tile will cover one entire back of a person or one entire back of a rucksack (without repeating)--the largest almost-unbroken parts of any piece of equipment or clothing.

i might resize it if i apply it to vehicles, but i'm not sure if i'll do that (i mean, i guess there's nothing stopping me. if the chinese can stencil their pattern onto their apcs then i guess it's not beyond modern technology). i guess the only thing is actual desire to do it in game/any realistic ability or need to do it in real life.

Oh yeah, another ArmA3 addon maker - loks very good and effective as a camo pattern in the ArmA3 environment.

Well, hopefully not just in the game.

Hmm seems like you've come a long way with this pattern. The work deffinitely pays off! Are you having any plans for it, i've seen you've trialed the snow version.

ideally i'd like to do a range of clothing and gear in all of the six basic patterns. more...realistically i'll probably do a jacket and pants in only one to start.

this depends on actual interest too. it's one thing to say something's cool, but it's another to support something financially.

idk. maybe i'll do a kickstarter. i need a better prototype first though at least.
