Oh nooooo I never really felt this was post worthy. Hhha. ;w;I made this piece MONTHS ago, and then left it in my folder of completed PDF files to rot. And after seeing the newest movie while completely wasted (And it was french. The only reason I could halfway follow it was because I read the volume it was based on). I looked back at this and fixed some stuff. And now it is here for everyone to enjoy!
Alright so, Asterix is another of my childhood heroes. My uncle has a great big collection and when I was little he used to let me and my brother & cousins/nephews watch the old movies on VHS. He's the reason really I got into the comics and eventually started my own collection, until it was lost and I started over again about a year ago. They're truly timeless and I enjoy reading them still to this day!

Oh man Asterix IS timeless ~ I started re-collecting the books some years ago too, it really helps that our publisher started another run of monthly re-releases over here. :') They are surprisingly hard to find from antiquarian bookshops anymore!
(now if only the film actually got proper theater release.. because all internet leaks have had such horrific sound quality so far ;_; )

I once bought a used copy of the Normans volume and upon receiving it in my mail, I found to my surprise it was incredibly yellowed with some of the pages falling out, and the print had written "first print '66" in dutch on it! I have it somewhere... But I got a new copy anyway because I don't want to damage it any further.
All I can do is wait for the dutch bluray to be released in march 15th. I believe it has the original french version with subtitles in it too.
