Hi John,
Was away on holiday and just saw your messages about now
I`ll try to answer some things if that`s all right with you.
------------------------
You said something about gaining profit for prints? Right? No i haven`t gained any profit from your work or my work. Haven`t sold any prints in my entire life. Wouldn`t encourage people to use deviantart for printing anyway. Just use a print shop. You can download most of my images in full res.
--------------------
This isn`t a commercial work , just something made for fun and my portfolio.
-----------------
I have some images posted on CGHub as well. just so you know if you wanna comment or "bash" on those too.
----------------------------
Personally i don`t care about copyright laws as long as it doesn`t involve profit. Innovation is killed with all these laws and patents in so may fields.
-----------------------------------
Do you want credit for using some pieces of your bike? Would have been great if you just asked nicely.
I did use some parts from your bike as well as some other parts from other bikes that I downloaded from the web, a scene from Evermotion for the render that i modified. I don`t pay too much attention to details like that, and never will.
Just credited the guy who made the concept that inspired me for the bike.
If you just wanted a credit/mention, you could have just politely asked.
Would have been happy to do that.
But the fact that you sent me 3 messages on individual images, with explicit stuff related to financial gains and bla bla kit bashing, acting like a victim, kind of turned me off on playing nice.
With or without credit you should be happy that other people get inspired or use your stuff, models, images. I would.
----------------------------------------
i did not steal your concept bike, or made any profit of your back. just liked the way some things looked on your model. Would it have been better if i spent some extra time and modeled those pieces by myself, rather than focusing on other areas?
-------------------------------------------
How about inspiration in general? I`m sure that you got inspired by many things when you designed your bike right? So where do you draw the line?
--------------------------
Everything is a remake these days,
so maybe just try to be more open minded about people using your stuff and maybe send a private message for future stuff if your point is to get credited for your work,
rather than discredit me or someone else publicly.
Very Best,
C. O.

Ho! Lee! Shit!
Wow, I mean, just wow. Both the bike and the woman riding it looks amazing.
If I may ask, how many hours did you put into this and did you model the bike in zbrush aswell as woman or?
These might be dumb questions, but I'm just curious.

I struggle a LOT with hard surfacing in zbrush!!! So i REALLY understand just how much effort goes into a model like this, i am definately watching you! You have really inspired me to push myself on zbrush and work on my hard surfacing So thanks for creating such inspirational pieces, i look forward to more from you

thank you, but......hold on. personally i work faster making base meshes in 3ds max. maya, modo or blender will do the same thing. depends which one do you like to work with. Personally I would recommend zbrush for working on concepts, iterations or complex stuff. each version of zbrush adds new stuff , but it`s not quite there -yet- when it comes to hard surface modeling.

so is it worth me investing in 3ds max or maya then?

that is absolutely, freakin, incredible! I WANT ONE! Is it for a personal project, or are you taking requests from people who would love to use this as a reference pic for stories they are working on!? I mean, holy crap! that just rocks!
