She is the Absinthe Queen. You pour the drink, you place the spoon, you set the sugar cubes, you tip the water into the glass...and then you drink. And then you enter her world. First you see things as you wish they were, which is wonderful. Such is her allure. Then you see things as they are not, which is fascinating. It is a trip into the world of the nonexistant. Then, finally, you see things as they are. The escapism has left you. The illusion has shattered. You have discovered the most horrible thing in the world.Eh...no. I dunno. I've never had absinthe, although I'm interested in it. From a distance. Not in drinking it. That little description was also mostly a paraphrasing of Oscar Wilde, just saying it in my own way. Hey, if LSD is sometimes personified as the "Acid Queen", then absinthe just as much deserves such a figure.

Yeah, I actually knew about that. I guess what I meant to say was that I wanted to make up my own personification of absinthe. (And, even though I always knew about the Green Fairy, I saw absinthe in my mind as this instead.)
