This was the costume I wore for Historical Figures Day. I was Oscar Wilde. I've done an Oscar Wilde cosplay before, and, when ~FlashyFashionFraud suggested doing such an event, I immediately said, "I'll be Oscar Wilde!" I'm not much of a cosplayer, but I do like to do it sometimes, and Oscar Wilde was my first cosplay. (Well, if you don't count the one I did of Mercutiet Williams, one of my own characters. Maybe I should do it again and post the photo.)I promise I'll take a better picture of this someday. Becky took the picture when I came home and was dying to get out of it (because it was frickin' hot that day and I was wearing a shirt, a tie, a waistcoat, and a jacket). And, plus, I had a few grass stains on my pants from sitting down to eat my lunch. (Naturally, being in-character, I complained about it.
)So yeah, bad cosplay pictures due to heat and impatience.

YES. OSCAR WILDE. He is my favorite Playwright of all time. I am currently in a deep love affair with his book "Picture of Dorian Grey". This is brilliant, mate. I'm lovin' that outfit.

Thank you! Yes, it was quite hot. For some reason, I always seem to choose hot days to do my cosplays. (I did a cosplay of Mrs. Whatsit from A Wrinkle in Time on a really hot day. The cosplay, by the way, consists of a thick felt hat, a long black rain jacket, black pants, boots, and two scarves. And...any kind of shirt underneath, it doesn't matter. That was also the day my friends and I spent most of lunch chasing after a boy we somehow convinced to crossdress. We were kind of making a spectacle of him and parading him all outside. I took off most of my outfit for that.

Yeah. It was very hot.
Oh, it was. It was beautiful. And, the funny thing is, he was pretty much forced into it that time, but since then, he's been occasionally crossdressing of his own volition. Mostly when we have the Cosplay Club. He'll just change into the clothes for the club, and he'll usually take them off after the club's done. Although, I've known him to sometimes keep it on for the rest of the day.
