You took in your surroundings. Your (E/C) eyes, which scanned the dark sight of the palace gardens, were the only visible part of your body, the rest being covered by a hooded cloak. You smiled when you didn't see any of the guards, which was kinda strange, but you let it pass, only focusing on your target. You climbed up the high walls that surrounded the palace, thanking the Heaven that you decided to wear some jeans instead of the heavy dresses you usually wore.

You were a princess of a country called Rastrilya, the only daughter of the king and the heiress of the throne. But as much as you enjoyed your luxurious palace life, you wanted to be free and explore the world. However, you father wouldn't accept your dream. He didn't even let you out of the thick walls of the palace. That's why you were in this situation. You were trying to run away and, certainly, it was going quite well. You had to hurry up, because you had just some hours before the palace service got up, and discover you're missing. You managed to climb the wall and couldn't help a little victory dance, then you jumped to your, oh, so wanted freedom.

The captain of the Heart Pirates walked casually along the streets of the island he had just arrived. Beside him there was a big polar bear wearing an orange jumpsuit and sporting a large sword. The look in the captain's dark gray eyes said nothing but boredom, not really minding his surroundings. The crew just docked there to get supplies and also get away from the steaming submarine they had as a ship. So now the captain, Trafalgar Law, Surgeon of Death, was looking for medical supplies and books, while his crew searched food and other useful things.

You were walking down the people filled streets of your unknown country. It was quite hot, thinking that it was a summer island, but you couldn't discard your cloak, guards would come immediately and drag you back to that prison you had been all your life. You shook your head and smiled when you saw a little store which sold fruits. You got a mouthwatering apple, red as blood. After examining it you took an eager bite and started to walk away, but a big and rough had pulled you back. You were face to face with the shopkeeper who hadn't a really nice expression on his face.

“Care to tell me who are you to take one of my apples and dare to go away without paying?” He asked dangerously and you gulped, not knowing what was happening. You didn't know you had to pay at all, you didn't even brought money with you!

“W-Well, actually I can pay. Just give me some days and I will give you the money, please” The man's frown only deepened and his grip on your wrist intensified, making you slightly cry in pain.

“There's no way I'm going to wait those days you say, you must pay me now. Otherwise I will have to take more drastic measures” He looked at your covered face, and smirked when he finished examining your eyes. “You have quite unique eyes here, miss. I bet you're a beautiful girl, so I'm going to sell you to the Human Auction at Sabaody. I think it will be a good exchange” He concluded with a final, mocking laugh. You tried to get away and free yourself from his grip, but it had no use, too strong. As he started to drag you into the tent of his store you heard a deep, smooth but stern voice call.

“ROOM” Suddenly, a light blue hemisphere surrounded almost all the street and you looked around confused, as well as the man who had you captive. “SHAMBLES” The next thing you knew was that you were suddenly transported to a man's side, not held by the angry shopkeeper anymore. The position you were in moments ago is now the position of a large polar bear, who kicked the shopkeeper making him fly some yards away. Then the man beside you took, surprisingly gentle, your wrist and called for the polar bear. The large animal nodded and followed the man, who started to walk as if nothing had happened, one hand catching your wrist and the other was casually inside his jeans' pocket. You were confused to say the least, but didn't try to run, no from the man to whom you owe your life, and freedom.

“Bepo, go to the submarine, I will catch you up later” The man said to the polar bear when you got to a dead end. The bear nodded and ran past the man.

“Aye, aye, captain!” Your mouth fell agape when you heard the animal speak. As if the fact that he was bipedal wasn't strange enough. You were now alone with the man, and you could not deny he had an intimidating aura around him. It made shivers run up and down your spine out of nervousness. He looked at you with an amused expression, a handsome smirk decorating his already attractive features.

“You have guts to steal with the shopkeeper having an eye on his store” He said and you puffed your cheeks, getting a bit red out of embarrassment.

“It was a mistake” You said looking away from him. His smirk widened and he couldn't help a deep chuckle, intensifying the color of your cheeks, not precisely of embarrassment.

“I see. Well, excuse me, princess” Your eyes widened and you turned immediately to him, making sure your face wasn't visible.

“H-How did you know?” You whispered in bewilderment. He approached you, taking lazy and slow steps while you walked backwards, trying to keep your personal space. However, you flinched when your back made contact with the wall behind you, and felt vulnerable. The man finally caught you, trapping your petite figure between the wall and his toned body. He reached for his pocket and pulled out a folded paper, then showed you it. Your eyes widened when you saw your smiling face on the paper, your beautiful (E/C) eyes were the thing that stood out the most. It was a wanted poster from the palace, they were looking for you. You shivered when your father's wrath came to your mind, he would surely lock you up in a tower, just as those princesses of the books you had read all your life.

“Those eyes of yours are quite an obvious clue, princess” You gulped nervously when his hot breath hit your ear, sending strangely pleasant electric currents throughout your body. You looked at him and took a shaky breath.

“What are you going to do with me?” You asked and mentally slapped yourself for sounding so weak. The man's smirk widened even more, you even though the corners of his lips would tear up.

“I don't know... The wanted poster says the the king will reward the person able to catch you, so...” Your eyes widened.

“No, please, don't send me back!” You pleaded almost desperately. He looked at you confused. “They will lock me up in a tower, please, let me be free” He looked deeply into your eyes, trying to convince himself to not fall in your begs. It was so difficult. He sighed and started to pull away.

“Okay, but if I find out that someone else got you back I will get into the palace and kill you, I don't mind that you're a princess, I'm a pirate” He huffed and your eyes widened.

“Y-You're a pirate?” He was waiting for some kind of terrified comment, but it never came. Instead, he was greeted by a pair of sparkling eyes.

“Yes, I am. Is that important?” He asked slightly annoyed. You smiled warmly and he felt his body tense up.

“Pirates are free, right?” Oh, no. He didn't like where this conversation was going, at all. He did not answer, just let you continue. “C-Can I go with you? Please? I promise I won't be a burden, I can learn to fight and I can cook and clean quite well so, please?” He looked at you with a frown, ready to deny your pleas, but you started to, unconsciously, put puppy eyes. Why was it so damn difficult to say no?

“Okay, but you must be useful. Otherwise I will drop you on the next island, understood?” You nodded happily and went to hug him, but a big hand covered your face, preventing you from doing so. “First rule, captain's personal space is sacred” He said sternly and you pouted. Then a doubt came to your mind.

“What's your name?” You asked curiously. Your captain looked at you and there was a long silence before he answered.

“Trafalgar Law. Let's go already, (Y/N)-ya” Your eyes widened and looked at him surprised.

“How do you-”

“The poster” He interrupted you and started to walk out of the alley, you following close behind with a flushed face, feeling stupid. However, you couldn't help the happiness of being finally free.
