Plz don't sue me for the crappy title, I'm already ashamedSince tomorrow is Valentine's Day and as always I'm #foreveralone , instead of spending time with my (inexistent) significant other, I draw traditional obligatory romantic picture. I usually do pokemon cheese, but since I got A Link Between Worlds a few days ago, I wanted to draw something about it, and lo and behold, this is the result. I will forever hate drawing brick walls, but at least the ivy makes it more interesting to look at

Honestly, you did amazing job with that brick wall. And the colors in this are beautiful overall.
I really don't like how Valentine's day works internationally, the Finnish version is basically a "friend's day" and you can wish happy "friend's day" to your friends, family etc. so it's not considered as a romantic thing. It wasn't until few years ago I found out that this was just a Finland thing and elsewhere it's a romantic occasion. ._.
btw A Link Between the Worlds might be the next Zelda game on my line (once I'm done with Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild after that), the painting thing in this game seems to be an interesting mechanic...and hopefully better executed than flying in SS

i didn't know about the finnish's "friend's day", that is actually much nicer. given, valentine's day is mostly a big deal for impressionable teenagers and i didn't really see much at all of it at uni, but a friend's day is better.
you're playing ss? i'm guessing you downloaded it on your wii u (either way i'm happy to hear that, since it's my favourite zelda game), do you like it so far? the controls can be a bit wonky (and yes the flying does suck, and the sky's really empty in general), but at least personally i think it gets good really fast, and if you like story-oriented games, you might like this.
a link between worlds is so much fun! the painting mechanic is really well done (although i've only just got it), and if you liked a link to the past, you'll like this one too, if not more

One of my favorite youtubers just started a let's play of Skyward Sword and despite of me wanting to play it after BoTW, I decided to use almost all money I had on my eShop account just to buy the game and play it so I could watch that let's play without getting spoiled :'P
I'm actually really far in the game already! Last night I was filled with some feels (stupid Zelda, going sleep and calling Link sleepyhead like that...nO I DIDN'T CRY GODDAMMIT). I don't really get the hate this game gets, personally this is one of better Zelda games (then again, I didn't like Ocarina much...) and I LOVE THE SWORD MECHANIC LIKY HOLY HECK. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT INSTANTLY. Like, swinging your Wii remote around like a sword feels great. Tho I'm not a big fan of other things where you use Wii remote...flying isn't all that bad once I got used to it (my first two tries ended horribly). It's the swimming and diving that gets me the most, but luckily there isn't many parts in the game that require using it. And Fi, she...I don't hate her, but I tend to yell at her when she starts nagging "your health is low, master" again and again. :'P
Overall, I think SS is really solid and well done game. It just feels little simple compared to Twilight Princess.
Personally I still love Twilight Princess the most and I've missed so much playing it...maybe I should play it again sometime, heh.

ayyy this makes me happy (yes this game is full of feels and that scene gave the rest, prepare for even more down the road 8D). ironically, the sword mechanic is one of the most hated things about ss, especially people complaining about it being so unresponsive (which is funny because some say it works just fine, while others hate it). yeah, the swimming mechanics remind me of majora's mask 3d, where zora link is just really stiff and hard to move around. if you don't like fi now... just wait. no spoilers, but wait.
it might feel simple compared to tp mostly because it IS a simpler game (I love both but ss is my favourite because of the story). tp was originally supposed to rival oot and so they wanted to make everything feel as epic as possible. ss has, i think, a smaller story that focuses a lot more on characters (and how to emotionally crush you). tp is overall bigger, with more dungeons, more items, bigger story. ss has a smaller story (or at least it's not magnified in epicness), but better characters imo. aside from midna (and maybe telma), tp didn't really have a lot of memorable characters. it has much cooler boss battles though.

I found the Zora swimming in Majora's Mask much more frustrating tho :'D And just when I said "the flying controls aren't that bad" I continued the game and oH HEY A BOSS BATTLE IN THE AIR, HAVE FUN WITH AIMING MOTHERFUCKER (I wanna strangle the person who thought it was good idea to make a boss battle where you need to hit stuff with you Loftwing. It was pain.)
The epicness, story, dark color scheme, soundtrack and Midna are the main reasons why I love TP so much. Honestly I liked the wide cast of characters, SS feels much smaller when aside from Link and Zelda the only main human with good character and development is...Groose, I guess?
But I've had a ton of fun with this game, laughed my ass off at some points and feeling even shocked after realizing what the orange crystal thing in Sealed Grounds was. Also, this is probably the first game that has drained me emotionally so much that I've needed to stop playing for a moment (that Zelda scene. I felt so empty inside after it)
my favorite thing in Skyward Sword must be the fact that the whole game is basically Link just wanting that pussy and doing everything to get it

i'll agree, nothing is worse than zora link's swimming mechanics -_- lol yeah i appreciate the idea behind that boss battle (especially given the fact that your loftwing is otherwise completely useless), but... no. actually, screw it.
most characters in tp had an interesting concept, but then nothing was ever really done with the majority of them. you rescue the ordon children, and that's it. there's that group of "rebels" that helps you once, and that's it. but i don't mind, since they're supposed to be background characters, and midna filled in for pretty much everything else (i also really liked yeto and yeta tho. so cute). ss has a smaller cast by comparison, but those characters feel very realistic and all have lots of individual development (and yeah, it's mostly just link, zelda and groose, but all the other people in skyloft have personal side-stories going on, a bit like the people in clock town. the best sidequest imo is the love letter one). i really like that
the scene where groose falls from the sky had me laughing way more than it should have. i even have the stamp of it on my profile :'D
that was the only scene in any zelda game so far that has made me tear up (and the ending of link's awakening. actually, the ending of this game too) and is one of the major reasons why i love that game. you get so invested :C

Hah, that love-letter sidequest was great! I ended up handing the letter to the hand ghost in bathroom...I regret nothing (and the fact this game has a toilet and even makes sound when you sit on it is amazing)
And that scene with Groose falling from the sky was great, and Link's reaction to it was so hilarious - Link in SS is really funny in general, his animation when his butt is on fire makes me laugh every time :'D
I've only cried at the end of Twilight Princess, but that SS Zelda scene almost had me ;_;

Groosenator is definitely the best name to name anything. Jokes aside, it's nice to see that they didn't make him so single-dimensional character as they could have, but he's actually likeable after...that beginning and drooling over Zelda, good thing he realized that only Link can get the pussy
And I think I'm kinda starting to get attached to Fi now, I got to the point where you lost all of your stuff (including the master sword) and getting sword (and Fi) back was sort of relieving. I swear is she does Midnas in the end...

(it's ok, i would have done the same) it's not as funny, but definitely cheesier. most of groose's character development consisted in him realizing that he'll never get the pus that dicks don't win in life, that's what i mean with ss having awesome characters. definitely better than a lot of media you see nowadays

I'm bad at videogames and never got very far with Link Between Worlds, but something about Link and Zelda and how they look and act in this game is just so darn cute! There's a reason they make up one of my favorite couples that isn't my parents~

you should play it, i've only beaten the first dungeon so far, but it's really fun and cleverly made! yes their designs are precious in this game, and they're definitely my favourite video game couple
