dfkafjleafkafékfalslégkf I'm so proud of this update, and of how fast (for my standards, 2 weeks) I did it
New chapter, new encounter, more drama, more secrets, and more inconsistent backgrounds
But finally something's happening, believe it or not, this is the update with the most action in it, and it was more challenging to draw than I thought it'd be! (even though the art is still sloppy, but hey, those jumping positions only took me half the refs to draw than I thought they would, thanx Naruto!
)I don't even know whyyyy I wanted to draw all of this, although, for the first time, I still think I could have done better, but for my current skills and time setting, this came out pretty alright
I had lots of fun with the expressions, and the Poochyenas were a bit tricky to draw, but for drawing them without any references I feel proud
This was a somewhat important transition page, now our heroes go back to the wonderful Petalburg, but for the next update I hope to leave that place for good and finally get to the woods, I'm so not looking forward to drawing trees

well, that's the kind of approach i wanted to take with him, since bug types are so underused and thus he'd be most likely to develop that kinda inferiority complex... (and i actually got inspired by some of my own character traits for him, our lil bug <3)

My feels when cutesy Vera who had just been happily skipping towards the tall grass made an entrance like a total badass and scared the Poochyenas away. That was awesome.
