Agreed! I love both equally as well. The movie for its stylization and the book for its message.

The movie ending was better, I read somewhere that even Chuck prefers the movie

I heard or read that somewhere too. I have to say it was certainly more epic. But there's an edge and visceral nature of the his writing is awesome. If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend reading his novel "Survivor".

Thank you very much, the only other book of his that I read was Rant, which I loved, even though it was fucking insane. I shall definitely have a look for that one though, I do love his ability to capture the grittiness and reality of reality. Reading his books is like picking at a sore

That's a fantastic way of describing the experience! It's painful, but the kind of pain that's pleasurable like picking a scab open. Not everyone gets that, but its a relief to know I'm not alone.
