awesome material on this...
and the way it all flows backward makes it look like its moving...
the perspective helps that as well...
and the background gives it a space travel kinda look...

um is AA on geometry? if so, put it on best and change the AA threshold to about 4% or 2%, if you have a powerful computer, set it to 0%. and render it out.

Nice.

I like how you added some texture (marks and lines) and the... well, tentacles when you could've just left 'em liquid. I like it better the way you've done it.

Also, I think you've done a good job in adding an appeasing background that doesn't draw too much attention to itself.
