Time for another familiar face...It's the lovely flower-child, Gentle Wind. Like all of my Nextgen she definitely needed a newer reference.
I updated her design a bit, but only her colors mostly. It was so fun to draw this girl again (she is one of my personal favs ^u^)

Name: Gentle Wind

Siblings:  Zephyr Breeze Jr. (brother), Skeeter (adopted brother)

Niagara Falls (cousin)
Mrs. Shy (grandmother), Mr. Shy (grandfather)

personality:  A hard worker, but will usually take her time with things, very patient, caring, and reserved, She’s kind, sympathetic, resourceful, and loving, curious, and adventurous, She can be sarcastic and will sometimes taunt.

Likes: Helping others, making remedies, flower pressing, Taunting and poking fun at Skeeter, she enjoys the forest, some peace and quiet form time to time, spending time with Tlaloc, working with Zecora, talking in rhyme, and listening to her brother’s music.

Dislikes: Arrogant ponies, poison joke, Doesn’t like messing with her mane, Blind dates, her Mother's visits, the way that her Dad tries to set her up with Sky Rocket.



Abilities: Knowledge about plants and potions, and what properties they may poses

Gentle is the apprentice to Zecora, an assists her mentor with practically anything. Gen aspires to be like Zecora and is willing to do as many tasks given to her. Mostly, Zecora sends Gen out to gather ingredients for potions and remedies but isn't teaching her how to make brews yet. Ge isn't too upset about the limitation. Nor is the girl in any hurry. She mastered patience and is proud of her flawless knowledge of plants. She sees Zecora as like a mother figure and respects the zebra as such. When Zecora is out of town, she leaves her student to her daughter. So Gen learns from her friend, Tiba, sometimes. Tiba is a fully pledge mage and is a fun substitute. She allows Gentle to get away with her usual work. Though gentle Must go through a lot with these zebras, she appreciates every moment and loves to learn more.

Gentle was raised by her father since her mother was absent most of her life. Whenever she visited, she'd come home with "surprises" for the family. So with this said, Zephyr had to work as a single father, and provide for his little girl. So he would leave her with his sister, Fluttershy, Who Gen called, "Auntie Shy". This was where she spends time with her younger cousin, Niagara, which Gen always had fun with. Fluttershy was known as the local Foal sitter. So Gen met a lot of Foals her age at Auntie shy's cottage, but she generally stays close to those she already knew, such as her cousin and Skyrocket. She understood why she had to be watched by her Aunt, and later when ZB Jr. came along she explained to him why they had to be at Auntie Shy's. She loved her Dad and appreciates what he does, Having to go through this allowed her to mature a bit faster, but she never lost her childlike wonder.

Gentle Wind has an adopted brother named Skeeter. Skeeter is known as a Breezie. He was brought home one day when Gen was only a filly. Her mother, Tree Hugger, brought him back from her travels and left the baby breeze to her daughter before setting out again. At first, Gentle felt really honored that her mother left her with such an important task but soon saw the challenge place in front of her. Raising a breezing was no easy task, and she had to learn as she went. Thankfully her father was there to help... in his own way. Her dad was mostly great at emotional support. But Gen got the handle of it and with help from her Auntie Shy, she was able to raise Skeeter successfully. She and Skeeter have an inseparable bond and go almost everywhere together. Though she raised him, she still only sees Skeeter as a brother and not a son or something "silly" as that.

Gentle is an Adventurous soul, never mind the fact that she is also curious. She can sometimes get sidetracked from work, and that's why it is good to have a cautious brother there to remind her to stay focused. One day when she was gathering herbs in the forest She bumped into a creature named Tlaloc. After the day Gen and him met, they became very close friends. Tlaloc, being an adventurer and tomb raider, He provided Gentle with the adventures that she always craved. Though she enjoys exploring with Tlaloc, Skeeter is still super cautious and believes it is his duty to keep Gentle safe. Gentle appreciates her little brother but finds it enjoyable to poke fun at his belly-aching.

Gentle is very friendly, but with this said she only has a few friends. One of them is the arrogant and hot-headed Sky Rocket. She was practically raised with the boy, and they both see each other as siblings rather than just friends. Ever since she was little Gentle's dad always had a fantasy that eventually she would marry Sky. Even though she has told her Dad hundred of times that she doesn't like him that way. And whenever Sky comes to visit, her delusional father pampers him and continues on about how Sky was meant to be his son in law. This always embarrasses Gen and being the prick he is, Sky will usually join in and encourage Zephyr Breeze just for the fun of it.
